We would like to make your visit to us an easy one. Whether it’s towels, yoga mats or cycling shoes, we’ve got you covered. For your first class, we recommend turning up 15 minutes early so we can show you around and run through the studio and class format. I'm new to District, Whats next?
Welcome! First, sign up to create a free account. If you're a new member you can check out our roster of fantastic instructors and find the perfect time and studio to kick off your first class. How old do I have to be to take a class?
Anyone 13 years of age or older is welcome to take a class. All classes are supervised by our amazing instructors (excludes virtual classes). If you’re under 18, you may register on our site, but need to have your parent or legal guardian fill in our waiver form before you take a class.
What sort of shoes do I need to wear?
In our cycle studio we will supply you with specialist cycle shoes which clip into the pedals. You will need to wear socks in these shoes.
In our Hiit studio you will need supportive athletic shoes. We recommend a cross training shoe as there are a lot of different movements in each class.
Yoga and barre is all bare feet. We have a comfortable soft, warm floor with complimentary yoga mats.
Will I be okay if I'm a beginner or not already in shape?
All our classes are designed to offer workout options for beginners through to advanced fitness levels. We do run District 101 classes periodically to help people understand the key fundamentals of each class however our classes are designed to help beginners fit right in from the first music track. We look after all of our first-timers in every class.
To make the most of your first class, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early so we can explain the workout and introduce you to your instructor.
How often should I go?
Across the three studios you can achieve a real balance of training so you can come as often as you wish. We would recommend to get great results that you aim to come a minimum of 3 and up to 5 times per week.
The key thing is Listen to your body — if your muscles are very sore, give them time to repair themselves.
How long will it take to see results?
With regular training you will see results fast. If you are going 3-5 times a week, you should start to see & feel a change in your body in 2 weeks. Your loved ones will probably see a difference in 5 weeks, and your friends will probably notice in 2-3 months.
You will notice a psychological change almost immediately. You’ll feel better about yourself, you’ll be more motivated to work out. We will provide you with the environment to achieve your results.
Is it fun?
Some people don’t enjoy exercise (although most of us do) but our unique workout environment and world class programming takes the pain away from working out, so yes it's fun, real fun!
Buying a membership
How do I pay online?
If you are new, first register for an account or login and add your credit card. We’ll securely save it for future purchases. You can also use it for retail purchases at the front counter.
How can I see how many classes I have left on my package?
Sign into your account — you’ll see all of your account info there.
What options do I have for buying classes?
We have a range of packages from introductory offers through to packs suitable for frequent use. With packages you can use your classes whenever it suits you. If you want to reach your goals faster, it’s best to commit.
I'm having problems with my account.
First of all, try the basics:
- If you’ve forgotten your password, follow the link on the login page to set up a new one.
- Make sure your credit card is still valid.
- Update your web browser if you need to.
- If you’re really stuck, call your local studio or pop in and ask for help.
Can I transfer or share my class package?
Absolutely, but it takes a little extra effort. Individual classes (or classes purchased as part of a class package) can be shared amongst clients but you have to do this by calling the club when to book and then advising reception when you check-in.
How do I book a spot?
Can I book a spot in the class?
You can book the bike you would like to sit on for the class when you book in for the class. You do not need to book a spot for the HIIT studio or Mind Body studio.
Can I book online?
Yes. In fact, we encourage it! Just register for an account first online and then buy the class pass that suits you best. After that, you can go ahead and reserve your spot online.
What is your cancellation policy?
We know how much you love to plan, which is why we open reservations 7 days prior to the class. So, scoop those spots up, and plan your week. All we ask is that if you are not going to be able to make the class, you cancel at least 12 hours prior. This allows us to make sure someone else gets the chance to work out if you can’t make it! Anything canceled less than 4 hours before class starts is a late cancel, and you do forfeit the class. A full class rate will be charged.
What if I miss class?
If you book a class and don’t show up, unfortunately, you lose your class. We know you’d never miss class on purpose and we’ll be super bummed not to see you there so please remember to cancel at least 12 hours in advance to make sure we can offer it to someone else and you don't get charged.
How far in advance can I reserve my class?
We release classes seven days in advance. At noon, exactly one week early, we release all classes for a given day.
So for instance, if it’s Tuesday, you can book the following Tuesday’s classes beginning at 12:00pm. On Wednesday at noon, you can book the following Wednesday and so on and so forth. For the most popular classes, these can book up fast so be ready to book at 12pm each day.
What if I'm there close to class start or late to class?
We do require you to be at the class at least five minutes before the class start time. There is a bit of set up for the class and we also have to accommodate the wait list and any needed changes. If we started this process at the beginning of class, the class would start late and you wouldn’t get your full workout. Plus, its good for you to be prepared and ready to hit the class hard when we start.
If you are late to class and we have not given away your spot to the wait list, you can check in and join the class.
Do you allow walk-ins?
Yes we do, however please allow time to sign up and get familiar with the studio. Some classes book out in a heartbeat, so you should call ahead to check there are spaces available.
What is the wait list?
Lots of our classes sell out. If the class you want is sold out, you can get on our wait list. As people cancel, you will be automatically added in the order you had signed up.
If you secure a spot more than 12 hours before the scheduled start time of the class, we will notify you by email. If a spot doesn’t open by then, you still have a chance of getting in. Just show up at least 5 minutes before class starts and once we have our no-show count we’ll start going through the wait list in order.
Can I move my reservation?
If you are outside the 12-hour no-cancellation window, you can always move to another class (that’s not already sold out). If you need to move your appointment — but if there are less than 12 hours until your scheduled class — that’s considered a cancellation and the above cancellation policy would apply. Sorry, no exceptions.
Can I leave my kids or pets in the waiting area?
We love kids and pets but unfortunately we cannot look after them in our waiting area.
What sort of amenities are in studio?
We have mens and womens changing rooms and showers. We have lockers for your valuables, free wifi, water fountain and rehydration drinks.
Should I eat before class?
Most nutritionists recommend eating something 30-60 minutes before class to give you enough energy to make it through the workout and the protein to build and tone muscles. Just make sure you don’t get too full. Try something that’s in the 200-300 calorie range and includes some sugars, carbs, and protein. Bananas and almonds are two great examples of foods that work well before a class.
What should I eat after class?
Protein, protein, and more protein! And in case the fourth time’s a charm… protein! Which is why we offer post workout protein rich smoothies.
What if I’m pregnant or just had a baby?
It is always a good idea to ask your doctor before starting a new exercise programme. But we can tell you that we’ve had new mums come in one week after giving birth, and mums-to-be working out until days before they gave birth.
Can I text or talk on the phone while in class?
No! Doing a workout at District is designed to refresh and give you a break from the daily grind. We request that you leave your phone in your locker and immerse yourself in the experience
Is my data secure and private?
Yes, we don’t sell your info and all our systems are encrypted and secure.
Our payment systems are encrypted, secure and meet industry standards.
