Relax + Restore with restorative Yoga
Chronic desk life leaves our posture weak, backs achy, chest collapsed and not to mention our stress levels through the roof. This is not great for our longevity and health let alone our confidence and happiness.
Here to help eliminate fatigue and daily stress, Restorative Yoga can also help you recover from injury or overcome emotional depression and anxiety. It is known that Restorative Yoga can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which enables automatic control of the body. As such, the regular nervous system will be at rest, and the muscles will become more relaxed. Constant practice of Restorative Yoga will make your body less vulnerable to stress-related illnesses and help you achieve optimal physical and mental health.
While some restorative yoga poses are beneficial to the entire body, others target specific parts of the body, such as the heart or the lungs. Poses in Restorative Yoga are usually held for between 3 - 5 minutes under the guide of an instructor to ensure you achieve deep release. Remember it is your practice, only push as far your body will allow/feels natural.
