Meet Hope Jameson - Cycle instructor

Hope has always been a mover.

It all began in the heart of little Pukekohe. She was four years old, very loud and extremely excited for her first ever ballet class. Hope’s addiction for performing arts quickly blossomed and before the age of ten she was spending most of her spare time in the studio, training in all dance genres. Coming from a family of three brothers, her competitive side was and still is a driving force of her personality. So naturally, girl trips away with Mum to compete in local and National competitions became a regular thing. At 13, she was successful in auditioning to become a Junior Associate with The New Zealand school of dance and was invited to train as a Classical major. It was then that Hope knew she wanted to Dance professionally. She left New Zealand at 17 when she was accepted to train full time in Melbourne Australia. After two years of dedicating blood, sweat and tears she was offered her first professional contract – to Dance at Tokyo Disneyland playing the roles of Cinderella, Wendy and Snow White.

When her 15-month contract came to an end, Hope was ready for a new adventure – she packed her life back into her suitcases, said goodbye to her Japanese life and relocated to London. During her time in London, Hope's knowledge and skillset continued to grow as she worked alongside various choreographers and performers in numerous projects and productions.

In 2016 when she was living back in Melbourne she started instructing dance styled ride classes.

This is when she truly realised just how much her world of dance and performance overlapped with the health and fitness industry. She has always taught dance throughout her career, and gets a thrill when something she does helps and brings joy to someone else. So, when this opportunity of being a ride instructor presented itself, she knew it was for her.

Hope is an extremely energetic and passionate young lady who wears her heart on her sleeve. When she finds something she likes – everyone knows about it. Dance. Coffee. And now, health and fitness.

Hope is now back home in Auckland, where she has started her new adventure instructing at District. She has a feeling this may be her most exciting one yet. Currently studying to become a fully qualified personal trainer, Hope aims to absorb as much knowledge as she can from everyone around her.

Be sure to get along to her classes for a delicious sweat up!
