Three ways to enhance your wellbeing and mental health

It's ok to not be ok! 

Life is full of ups and downs, and it's about how we ride the waves without getting pulled down by the undertow. MHA is important to talk about, it shouldn't be a taboo and the more we speak up, we break down the barriers and open ourselves up to the love and support we need. Because sometimes all we need is a helping hand to pull us out from the undertow right? You don't have to suffer alone and there are so many things you can do to lift your mood alongside reaching out to others. 

My top three ways to enhance your mental health and wellbeing on the daily:

Breathe.

Be still, observe your breath. Feel the inhale and the exhale. Whenever your mind wanders and tries to pull you away with your thoughts, bring it straight back to concentrating on your breath. After all, it is your life-force!

Sweat. 

Yoga, interval training, running, cycling, walking, whatever is your jam get to it. It's proven that exercise activates the release of endorphins which give us those feel-good vibes (plenty of those going around @districtfitnessstudios come join us!) 

Nature. 

Get outside, breathe in the air, feel the wind on your face and the grass between your toes. Notice the simplicity of natures beauty, there's a lot to receive here.
